Our Founder

Scott Smerud received is B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis from San Diego State University, and his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. He started his career as a tax consultant with Ernst & Young LLP in Chicago before returning to San Diego to be an entrepreneur who has owned several businesses.


Our Approach

Does your small business have a financial "dashboard", so you can see what drives your growth (KPIs), where you are spending without a return, and forecast your cash needs? At a basic level, we link your bank statements and credit cards to your accounting software, so you can see the financials in real-time. And we also go beyond, to set up your vendor bills for payment and your customers for invoicing. Your receipts can be electronically organized and linked to each expense. We'll reconcile your bank and credit card statements monthly. We can even help you transition to an easier integrated payroll service. Our typical client will pay $300 to $800 per month, depending on the amount of services. Where the business owner handles bookkeeping, most clients will immediately be more profitable with the owner doing the profitable work they enjoy, instead of bookkeeping.
