Our Founder
Scott Smerud received his B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis from San Diego State University, and his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. He started his career as a tax consultant with Ernst & Young LLP in Chicago before returning to San Diego to be an entrepreneur who has owned several businesses.
Our Team
We are a remote team based in California. We use technology to seamlessly work together for our clients. You will receive the exact same process and responsiveness, whether we are neighbors or hundreds of miles apart. We specialize in fiduciary accounting, and are not a CPA firm or law firm.
Our Process
Our process is to: (1) Set the scope of work and send an engagement letter; (2) Provide a secure document upload link, or receive the documents however you prefer; (3) Organize the documents in our system; (4) Provide you with an initial list of all statements or pages that appear missing; and (5) Begin inputting the information through to completion. Often there will also be a few questions as the accounting continues.
